Massive congratulations to our rounders players in 5th and 6th Class. From out three teams, two teams made it to finals day in Portlaoise yesterday.
The Girls team had an excellent win in their semi-final against Killeen before losing out in agonising fashion against The Heath in the final by 1 run. They were magnificent throughout and should be so proud of themselves. In getting to the final, they are the first team from Rath to reach a championship final.
After cruising through qualifying last week, the boys lost out to a very strong Heath team in their semi-final before bouncing back brilliantly to defeat Camross in the Shield Final. Well done boys.
